General Searches		For general product searches, simply enter the generic term, for example television, radio, bed or sofa. You can enter as many words as you want, for example garden shed, gloss paint, cordless screwdriver or carpet cleaner.
Compulsory Keywords		If you want to ensure that your search results definitely contain a particular keyword, then simply prefix the keyword with the plus character (+). For example +digital +radio will return only results that have both the words digital and radio in their titles, brands or categories. You can also carry out searches that have both optional and compulsory keywords, for example +plasma ball. This ensures that the word plasma must be in the search results, but the word ball is optional.
Keyword Exclusion		To exclude a keyword from a search, simply prefix the unwanted keyword with a minus character (-). For example, to search for vacuum cleaners that are not upright, use the following search terms: vacuum cleaner -upright.
Search Phrases		You can also search for entire phrases, by enclosing the phrase in quote characters ("). For example: "red wine", "teddy bear" or "floor lamp". You can also combine phrases with compulsory or excluded keywords, for example: "floor lamp" +chrome -halogen. This will return search results containing the phrase floor lamp, the word chrome but not halogen.
Brands and Model Numbers		If you already know the brand that you are searching for, then please include it as a keyword in your search, for example Sony television or Roberts radio. If you know the model name, then please also include this in your search, for example Sony Wega or Panasonic Freeview. Finally, if you know the model or serial number, then please include this in your search, KD32DX150.
Price Comparison		It is now possible to carry out a price comparison search on any individual item in your search results. Simply click on the Compare Prices link, or on the product image. This will open up a new window in your browser, showing a larger window, and further information about the particular product. The price comparison engine will attempt to find similar matching products from other merchants on the Internet, the comparisons are based on keywords, models, product numbers and categories. Please check that the comparison results are based on equivalent products - for example some merchants may include a stand with a particular television, others might not, which is why it might be cheaper.
