Lavochkin LA-5 FN Russia plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The Soviet air force used the La-5FN for the first time at the front in the summer of 1943. It proved to be altogether comparable with the Bf-109.

At low altitudes it reached a speed of 580 km and in the hands of an experienced pilot it was an opponent to be taken seriously.

Me 262 A1a plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The Me 262 was the first jet interceptorfighter-bomber in the world to be produced in series and was used from June 1944. With a maximum speed of 865 kmh at an altitude of 6000m, it operated against allied bomber formations.

Messerschmitt Bf109 G-10 plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The Bf109 played an important part in all operations during World War II. The prototype first flew on 28th May 1935.

The single-seat fighter featured a 1,435 hp DB 605 engine which gave it a max. speed of 684 kmh at 7,400 m. Production totalled some 35.000 units.

P-47 D Thunderbolt plastic kit from German specialists Revell. One of the most successful USAAF fighter bombers in World War II was the P-47, which was also used initially by the Eighth Air Force as a fighter interceptor. It was robust, reliable and able to withstand heavy impacts.

The main batch was the D series.

P-51 B Mustang plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The P-51, one of the most powerful World War II fighters, was developed in 1940 to meet British requirements. A Rolls-Royce Merlin engine subsequently enabled it to escort long-range bombers of high altitude and for low-level attack it was also equipped with Bazooka rocket pods.

Sopwith F-1 Camel plastic kit from German specialists Revell. This very manoeuvrable British fighter plane appeared on the Western Front in July 1917 and soon demonstrated its superiority over the German fighters. Over 5,500 were produced.

Manfred von Richthofen was shot down by a Camel in April 1918.

Soviet Fighter MiG-3 Russia plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The MiG 3 was delivered to the Soviet Air Force in the spring of 1941 as an improved MiG-1. This high performance aircraft proved to be absolutely superior in high-altitude air combat with German aircraft.

By the beginning of 1942, 3172 examples of this single-seater, designed as a fighter-interceptor for medium and high altitudes, had been built.

Spad XIII C-1 plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The SPAD XIII, which was used for the first time in 1917, was one of the most important World War I fighters. French flying aces in particular achieved great successes with it.

This fighter was used by French and British and also American squadrons.

Spitfire Mk V plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The most famous British aircraft of World War II combined excellent flying characteristics with an outstanding performance. The first production Spitfire were delivered in July 1938.

The RR Merlin engine developed 1,470 ps with a max. speed of 594 kmh.

Supermarine Walrus Mk.I plastic kit from German specialists Revell. The Supermarine Walrus was a single-engine amphibious biplane that was used by the Royal Navy from the mid 1930s. The Walrus was of robust construction to enable it to withstand both catapult take-offs and potential rough seas around the mother ship.

This type was also used on aircraft carriers and was unique in that it was the first amphibious biplane with a retractable undercarriage. Its main task with the Royal Navy was sea reconnaissance, but it could also be used for airsea rescue and liaison purposes. Many crews that had been shot down owed their lives to the Walrus.
