Kangarilla Road Chardonnay 2006, McLaren Vale
From a tiny boutique winery in the up-and-coming McLaren Vale region. This area has a climate similar to Bordeaux except, in the words of one winemaker, it never rains and it's never frosty. Their Chardonnay is jam-packed with fruit, superbly balanced with acidity, oak and tannin.

Hochar P¨re et Fils 2002, Chateau Musar
This is the second wine of the famed Musar estate. It certainly lives up to the reputation of the first wine and is vinified in the same way, but without the use of oak, to produce an easier drinking wine. Lovely smoky plum aromas, full bodied and a lingering finish.

Perle de Vigne Cremant de Bourgogne NV, Louis Bouillot
A light, fresh sparkling Cremant de Bourgogne. Burgundy shares the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes which make this wine with Champagne, although a slightly warmer climate makes this wine softer and earlier drinking.

Pouilly-Fume 'Les Ferrees' 2006, Marcel Sautejeau
A classic Pouilly-Fume from the chalky soils of Pouilly-Sur-Loire on the right bank of the Loire Valley. Delicious aromas of peach, acacia blossom, quince and hazelnuts are joined by typical flint characters. An excellent aperitif that will also accompany most seafood, as well as the classic match for Loire whites, goats cheese.
