In addition to a 400 acre Estate vineyard, the Bodega Juan Alcorta sources grapes from an area of almost 4700 acres. Most of the vineyards consist of old vines, over 25 years old, and mainly of the Tempranillo variety. The vines are arranged in plots, and are carefully selected for each wine.

The vine growth cycle is carefully monitored and a series of growing guidelines are laid down for each estate. Elena Adell, has been involved in the project for the new Bodega Juan Alcorta from the very beginning, in which an ideal setting has been created for elaborating and enjoying wine.

Concentrated plum colour with some red reflections. Aroma: Initial subtle notes of violets and black cherries give way to a pleasant wave of plums, chocolate, and caramel with a background of vanilla oak. Palate: Open-knit yet sinewy, with fine, powdery tannins and a plush texture.

The style of Marques de Murrieta's white has changed: it is now softer, with less aggressive oak, and lacks the slight oxidation that it used to have.

Bright amber red in colour, with a delicate nose of rich fruit, balsamic/ minerals and a hint of 'olorosso' sherry. balanced by firm, subtle oak. The palate begins with voluptuous warmth, becoming more and more complex in the glass, with hints of spice, leather and exotic fruit balanced by subtle American oak.

The finish is long and lingering, with good acidity and striking youth. This wine is released mature, but will continue to develop well over the next 50 years. Enjoy with all red meats and game, but also cured ham, strong cheeses and oily fish.

Dark ruby red, intense and opaque. The nose is deep and complex, remarkably rich and concentrated, revealing fresh ripe fruits aromas, wild strawberries, black currant and blackberries nicely associated with mineral notes, spices, tobacco and coffee. The attack is powerful, ample and silky, immediately revealing a well-balanced and harmonious structure.

The tannins are ripe and round, nicely enveloped by flavourful hints of vanilla, toasted orange zest, lavender, chocolate, and licorice. The finish is long, mineral and silky, enhancing the richness of the ripe fruit and the elegance of the tannins. A superb wine of an exceptional finesse and remarkable expression.

Individual vineyard parcels of fruit have been selected from premium Merlot regions for the Bin 999 Merlot. This wine displays flavoursome berry and cherry fruit on the palate, enhanced by soft grape and oak tannins that give balance, length and structure to the wine. Colour.
