Graham Norton's Big Apple
From his very first Series "So Graham Norton" in 1998, this pint sized Irish comedian has been making a big noise in the comedy world not just on Channel 4 but now on the BBC with his new series the Graham Norton Effect and also in the US where he is a big star. This series made by Indie Unique was recorded over six hours in front of a live New York audience just before September 11th, hence it was never broadcast on Radio 4 as intended. The themes are Love and Sex, Money, Consumerism, Religion and On The Town. The format is a live recording in front of a lively "Here" theatre audience made up of native New Yorkers, Brits and his Irish fans. The comedy is cutting edge and develops the style of his own TV shows with a mix of stand up, live interviews and audience interaction. Full of...

Meet Mr. Mulliner
Six delightfully diversionary tales from an English master of comedy. Mr Mulliner, with all the known veracity of a fisherman, holds forth with some of the most diverting of P.G Wodehouse's stories. These six dramatisations star Richard Griffiths as Mr Mulliner, with a multitude of performances by Matilda Ziegler, David Timson, Martin Hyder, Peter Acre, Tom George and Carl Prekopp. Mr Mulliner's arrival at the bar of the Angler's Rest public house invariably sets off a sly story - of a potion which turns a mild curate into a tiger of a man, of a cottage haunted by the syrupy spirit of a romantic novelist, or of a suitor rejected in love who becomes an idol of the silent screen. Partly recorded on location at one of London's most celebrated - and hidden - public houses...

Morecambe & Wise: Bring Me Sunshine
A compilation of great gags and sketches from the incomparable Eric and Ernie, one of the best-loved and most successful comedy duos of all time. Dip into the fun barrel for such magic moments as Ernie the male model, Eric and his fast-growing moustache seeds, and the day little Ern (he of the short, fat, hairy legs) was asked to be Bob Hope's head waiter (sorry, head writer). Furthermore, Ernie's genius as a mathematician is revealed - he can even do calculations blindfolded - and hear how Eric tries to help Ernie get over the flu. (You can tell he's ill, he hasn't written a play for twenty minutes but, don't worry, he'll write six more the next day.) There's the first meeting in a London teashop between Lord Byron and Keats, as well as Eric's name...

One Foot In The Grave: Volume 1
Richard Wilson and Annette Crosbie star in four episodes specially recorded for BBC Radio 2. Alive and Buried: Made redundant at sixty, Victor Meldrew has plenty of time on his hands - except now he has to contend with Age Concern workers and unreliable mechanics. Timeless Time: It's night-time. Victor can't sleep, which means that Margaret won't be able to either. In Luton Airport No-one Can Hear You Scream: Victor and Margaret return from holiday to find their home has been demolished. The Beast in the Cage: Victor encounters road rage when he's stuck in a bank holiday traffic jam. Crabby, crusty and curmudgeonly he may be, but Victor Meldrew - played brilliantly by Richard Wilson - voices the exasperation of the once silent majority. Accompanied by his...
