Ferrari F2003 GA Spanish Grand Prix at 1/8th scale
The design team at Gestione Sportiva Ferrari found some radical new solutions for the 2003 season, many of which have been copied by the other "Grandee" teams as the season progressed. This model shows the F2003 GA with the set up raced in the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona where the car made its rather late debut performance to win the race for Michael Schumacher and Ferrari.

Ferrari F2003 GA Japanese Grand Prix at 1/8th scale
The F2003 GA is to our eyes the most elegant and most radical design that Ferrari have produced for years. This model shows the car with the set-up raced at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. The 2003 Formula 1 season came to a dramatic climax at Suzuka where Michael Schumacher only just managed to secure the point necessary to take both the Drivers and the Constructors Championships home to Maranello for the fifth time in succession.

BMW Williams F1 FW26 at 1/8th scale
The start of the 2004 season for the BMW Williams F1 team saw the unveiling of a strange new front wing design that sprang from the newly adopted twin keel chassis. The car has not been as successful as was expected - perhaps more due to the volatile driver line up than the car design - but the FW26 is nevertheless a memorable landmark in the history of BMW and Williams.

Bentley Speed 8 at 1/8th scale
It is no exaggeration to describe the 2003 Bentley Speed 8 as a new car. Though the previous two generations of Speed 8 performed spectacularly well, returning Bentley to the Le Mans podium in 2003, it was felt that for the final year of the three year program, a fresh approach was required. Clearly the car still features enclosed bodywork meaning it remained in a class of its own and the engine retained its basic architecture, 4-litre capacity, direct fuel injection and twin turbochargers. In all other significant respects it has a new design from the ground up. The concept driving the design was to ensure much better exploitation of the airflow over the body and particularly to the rear wing. To achieve this, the external cockpit area was much reduced, though the car is actually more...
